The Everbuild Intumescent Acoustic Sealant is a high-strength, permanently flexible sealant and adhesive designed for fire-rated construction applications. Specifically formulated for sealing and bonding plasterboard and kraft-lined insulation boards, this AC95 product delivers fire protection of up to 5 hours whilst providing acoustic performance to BS EN ISO 140/3 standards. This water-based, solvent-free formula offers excellent versatility across dry lining applications. It forms an effective intumescent and acoustic barrier when sealing gaps between plasterboard walls, floors, ceilings, and partitions. The permanently flexible compound features high initial grab whilst adhering reliably to almost all building substrates including plasterboard, wood, metal studding, and blockwork. Ideal for both professional contractors and tradespeople working on fire-rated construction projects, this sealant remains mould-resistant and non-flammable throughout its service life. Once cured, it accepts paint finishes and is straightforward to clean up during application. The product has been tested for air permeability to EN13141-1, making it suitable for applications requiring ventilation compliance.
