High-performance flexible material engineered for consistency Prusament TPU 95A is a premium, in-house manufactured thermoplastic polyurethane designed for printing durable and elastic functional parts with excellent dimensional repeatability. Each spool is produced under strict quality control with a guaranteed diameter tolerance of ±0.06 mm, ensuring smooth extrusion, stable layer deposition and predictable performance across long prints and complex geometries. Advanced mechanical properties for demanding applications This ether-based TPU formulation combines flexibility with mechanical strength. The material maintains high impact resistance and wear resistance even under repeated cyclic stress, making it suitable for dynamic components and moving assemblies. TPU 95A retains its elasticity at low temperatures and shows strong resistance to oils, greases and many industrial chemicals. The low moisture uptake and high hydrolysis resistance help preserve mechanical integrity over time, even in humid environments or applications involving periodic exposure to fluids. Optimized printability with stable flow and reduced deformation Despite its flexibility, Prusament TPU 95A is engineered for improved bridging and overhang performance compared to standard TPU materials. It extrudes smoothly at moderate speeds and forms consistent strands that minimize print artifacts such as gaps, under-extrusion or collapse in unsupported areas. The material’s balanced viscosity helps maintain part geometry and limits deformation, making it easier to print large, flexible surfaces and thin-wall features without excessive tuning. Recommended print settings and surface selection For best results, print with a nozzle temperature around 230 ± 10 °C and a bed temperature around 65 ± 10 °C. A Satin or PA/Nylon build sheet provides the most reliable adhesion during printing while still allowing easy part removal. Printing on a Smooth PEI sheet is possible but requires a separation layer to prevent the part from bonding too strongly to the surface. Direct drive extruders are recommended for maximum control over filament movement, but well-calibrated Bowden systems can also print TPU 95A with slower speeds and reduced retraction. Lower retraction values help avoid clogging and filament compression inside the extruder path. Handling, storage and preparation for perfect prints Although this TPU has low moisture absorption, drying the filament is still advised if it has been exposed to humidity. Moist filament may produce stringing or surface blisters. Keep the spool in a sealed container or drybox when not in use. For soft and flexible parts, use low infill patterns such as gyroid or adaptive cubic to preserve elasticity.
