This 2.5 litre satin finish variant of Ronseal Crystal Clear Outdoor Varnish is the economical choice for larger exterior projects where you want to preserve wood's natural colour with an attractive low-lustre sheen. The generous capacity makes it perfect for garden decking, sheds, fencing panels, or multiple pieces of garden furniture, whilst the satin finish enhances the wood's natural beauty with a subtle gleam. The varnish protects from the weather and doesn't yellow over time like traditional varnishes, becoming rainproof in just 1 hour. Before starting, ensure it's a warm, dry day above 10°C and the wood is clean and dry. Always wear a face mask to avoid breathing in any dust during preparation. For stained or varnished wood, sand thoroughly to ensure proper adhesion, clean with white spirit and allow to dry. For new wood, lightly sand the surface, remove dirt or dust with white spirit and leave to dry. Apply 3 coats with 6 hours between each, lightly sanding before the final coat for optimal adhesion and a smoother finish.
