The flat-tipped cylinder design enables deep material removal whilst offering exceptional versatility for cutting flat areas, rounding edges, and creating precise stop cuts and V-cuts. This carving cutter proves particularly effective for metal and glass engraving, stone carving, and removing flash from castings. The flat tip creates clean bottom slots and grooves, executes flat side cuts, and when held at 45 degrees, produces accurate V-cuts for detailed work. For optimal results, work with the sides of the accessory head at angles less than 90 degrees, allowing the tool to work without excessive force. If the bit chatters rather than removes material, increase the RPM for smoother cutting. Note that this accessory should not be used for drilling or enlarging holes less than twice its diameter, as the surface can catch and potentially break the bit.
