The 32mm (1¼in) Marples M444 Blue Chip Bevel Edge Chisel is a substantial mid-to-large size tool perfect for heavier joinery work, door fitting, and cleaning out larger housings. This width provides excellent coverage for working with substantial timber sections whilst maintaining enough control for precision work, making it invaluable for tasks such as trimming larger tenons and general carpentry applications. The high-impact round blue plastic handle is contoured for maximum control and radiused for a comfortable grip during extended use. Designed for use with a mallet, it will absorb the occasional hammer blow without damage. The solid one-piece forged bolster fitted bevel-edged blade is manufactured from best-in-category carbon steel, tempered along the full length and hardened up to the last 25mm for a longer working life. The annealed edge is slow to blunt yet easy to sharpen.
