The Knipex 95 31 280 Cable Cutter is the larger variant in the range, offering an impressive cutting capacity of 380mm² or Ø 52mm for copper cable, multiple-stranded (750 MCM). This heavy-duty model is particularly suitable for aluminium sector cable up to 4 x 150 mm², making it the ideal choice for electricians working with larger installations and industrial applications. The precision-ground, hardened blades ensure clean and smooth cuts without crushing and deformation. Despite its increased cutting capacity, this cutter maintains ease of use through the ratchet principle, enabling one-hand operation with minimal hand force thanks to the very high transmission ratio. The two-stage ratchet drive makes cutting through thick cables effortless, whilst the lightweight and compact design still allows use in confined areas. Safety features include a pinch guard to prevent operators' fingers being pinched and a fixed handle with support area for putting down the pliers when cutting. Supplied on a self-service card/blister for retail presentation.
