The Knipex 13 96 VDE Insulated Electrical Multifunction Installation Pliers are professional-grade electrician's pliers combining six essential functions in a single compact tool. Designed specifically for electrical installation work, these multifunctional pliers handle gripping, bending, deburring, cable cutting, wire stripping and ferrule crimping with precision and efficiency. Engineered for versatility on-site, these pliers feature smooth surfaces near the tips that grip single cores without causing damage, whilst serrated gripping surfaces and pipe grip zones handle both flat and round materials securely. The clear-cut outside edge on the gripping surfaces proves particularly useful when working on flush-mounted junction boxes and deburring feed-through holes. Integrated stripping holes accommodate conductors of 0.75-1.5mm² and 2.5mm², whilst the crimping die handles wire ferrules from 0.5-2.5mm². The cable shears incorporate induction-hardened precision cutting edges capable of cutting copper and aluminium cables up to 5 x 2.5mm² or Ø 15mm. A bolted joint ensures precise, zero-backlash operation, whilst the slim dimensions provide easy access in confined spaces. The intelligent latching mechanism with opening spring allows the cutting edges to remain closed and protected during gripping operations, with an activated locking lever keeping edges secure whilst other functions remain active.
