These 80 grit sanding belts (50 x 686mm) are ideal for initial surface preparation and removing material efficiently. The coarser 80 grit specification makes this pack of 5 belts perfect for heavy stock removal, paint stripping and aggressive smoothing applications where speed is essential. Manufactured from high performance resin bonded aluminium oxide, these belts deliver efficient resistance and long-lasting performance. The electrostatic sand planting and open coat aluminium oxide grain facilitate excellent chip removal and heat dissipation during intensive use. The special butt joint minimises vibration across the work surface, ensuring consistent results even during aggressive material removal. The strong X-weight polycotton cloth backing provides the flexibility and durability needed for demanding applications, whilst enhancing loading capacity for use under different pressures. Suitable for sanding and finishing wood, metal, aluminium alloy, painted surfaces, plastic and fillers. Compatible with all 50 x 686mm sanders including Stock No. 05096.
