The Monument 460U Tap Reseating Tool is a professional reseating tool designed for refurbishing worn tap and stopcock seats without disconnecting pipework. This essential plumbing tool re-cuts valve seats on 1/2in and 3/4in BS1010 standard taps, restoring proper sealing and eliminating dripping caused by deteriorated seat surfaces. The tool features tapered cones that screw directly into threaded tap bodies, allowing efficient on-site repairs. For applications involving taps with recessed threads in the body, the parallel bush series should be used instead. The precision feedscrew mechanism enables fine adjustment to the cutter depth, ensuring accurate refacing of the valve seat. Supplied complete with four case-hardened flat cutters in 17, 19, 20 and 25mm sizes (11/16in, 3/4in, 13/16in, 1in), plus two tapered cones for different tap configurations. All components are fully interchangeable, making this a versatile addition to any plumber's toolkit.
