The Broadfix Standard U Packer is a versatile plastic shim designed for quick and easy levelling behind screws and fixings. Manufactured with a high percentage of post-industrial and post-consumer recycled material, these U-shaped packers offer a durable, waterproof alternative to traditional timber flat packers that won't swell, shrink or rot. These U-packers are ideal for installation tasks where you need to shim behind a fixing whilst keeping both hands free. Simply loosely install the screw or fixing, slide the required number of U-shims over it, and tighten. The unique comb design clips into place, preventing the shims from falling out during installation—perfect for awkward overhead work or tight spaces where maintaining positioning is crucial. Capable of withstanding higher compressive loads than traditional timber flat packers, these plastic shims offer superior strength and economy. The colour-coded system makes thickness identification quick and easy on site, whilst the clamshell pack provides convenient storage and portability.
