Description
Everbuild Griptite is a high-strength construction gap filler and panel adhesive ideal for fixing and bonding tasks throughout residential and commercial properties. Based on a synthetic rubber/resin mix in a solvent carrier, this versatile adhesive bonds to wood, plaster, plasterboard, metal, glass, ceramics, brick, concrete, cork, PVCu and certain plastics. The solvent-based formulation delivers quick drying times and high early bond strength, making it suitable for both vertical and horizontal applications. Strong initial grab properties mean minimal support time is required for lighter materials, whilst the high solids content provides excellent gap filling without shrinkage. The adhesive performs reliably in exterior applications thanks to its weathering resistance. Griptite is particularly effective for carpentry work including bonding dado rails, architraves and skirting boards, as well as fixing wall battens without the need for mechanical fastenings. Flooring contractors will find it suitable for bonding parquet and cork flooring, fixing stair nosings, and attaching carpet gripper systems without nails or tacks. It's also ideal for fixing wall cladding, thresholds, wall sockets, junction boxes and securing panels to frameworks in portable buildings and caravans. Note that this product is not suitable for damp surfaces, mirror applications, polystyrene or expanded polyurethane materials. Heavy items exceeding 8kg per square metre require support for 8-24 hours. Solvents may affect sensitive plastics, so testing on a small area is recommended where uncertainty exists.
