This 5mm diameter x 40mm length Forgefast Pozi Wood Screw in a pack of 200 provides substantial fixing capability for thick timber sections with robust 5mm diameter characteristics. The 40mm length combined with 5mm diameter is particularly well-suited to securing heavy-duty battens, substantial framework, and thick structural components where deep penetration with excellent holding power is required. Featuring a universally accepted Pozi-compatible drive, this screw incorporates six underhead lobes for improved countersinking and reduced surface dust. The reinforced countersunk neck enhances holding power. An anti-friction thread minimises timber splitting, prevents jacking and spinning during assembly, and provides improved drawing strength. The serrated design enhances pull-out resistance whilst reducing insertion torque. The double cutting point allows faster drilling time with reduced wood dust clogging and is capable of piercing 0.8mm steel. Protected by the Elementech 400 coating, this screw offers anti-corrosive protection lasting up to six times longer than standard zinc coatings. The environmentally friendly coating contains no Cr6+ and is Salt Spray tested to 400 hours.
