The Mediterranean has long been a stage for epic regattas, where passion and maritime heritage are celebrated. In 1981, Dick and Celia Jayson, aboard their Swan 44, joined forces with Patrice de Colmont and skipper Jean Laurain to create the Nioulargue regatta in Saint-Tropez, later renamed Voiles de Saint-Tropez in 1999. Today it is the most important sailing event in the Mediterranean and attracts over 250 boats every year, including classic and modern.
