The addition of marshmallow musk accord changes everything in the best possible way, wrapping the signature dark coffee and vanilla at the heart of Black Opium in something softer, almost dreamlike. It shouldn't work as well as it does. It absolutely does.
It opens with a bright squeeze of Pear, Green Mandarin, and Lemon that burns off quickly, making way for Orange Flower before the real story begins.
The base is where you want to live: roasted Black Coffee, deep Patchouli, Vanilla Bourbon Absolu, and that pillowy Marshmallow Musk accord that makes the whole thing feel new. Gourmand, yes, but never sweet for the sake of it.
