These 230mm, 40 grit sanding discs are ideal for aggressive material removal and heavy stock reduction tasks. The coarse 40 grit rating makes them particularly effective for initial preparation work, stripping old finishes, and tackling rough surfaces that require substantial levelling before moving to finer grits. Produced from aluminium oxide with resin bonding, these discs deliver extended service life whilst providing anti-static properties and improved grain adhesion. The heavy-duty E-weight backing paper enhances performance, ensuring the disc remains durable and capable of withstanding demanding applications. The hook and loop backing system promotes secure adhesion whilst enabling quick disc changes when needed. These versatile discs are suitable for sanding and finishing on wood, metal, aluminium alloy, painted surfaces, plastics and fillers.
